The Women in Mortgage Business Network (WIMBN), launched in 2003, is an industry wide initiative that aims to provide a unique and friendly environment for all women working within the Mortgage Broking and wider Financial Services industry, to grow their businesses and expand their social and professional networks.

A Network with a Difference

Everyone knows that it is important to network, market themselves and their products. While WIMBN will give you access to the wealth of knowledge, skills and experience that have built market success for businesswomen, we are not just another support group.

Our Network encourages a down to earth attitude while still promoting an environment of learning and aspiration. While we do have successful and professional high profile women as members, our approach is to foster a friendly group of like-minded women who want to grow their businesses but still appreciate the value of having a life, socially and philosophically. And having fun!

Membership gives you access to workshops and networking events based on feedback and the needs of our members, as well as resources and interaction with other professional businesswomen.

And it isn't only mortgage brokers who you will mix with. Lenders, Real Estate Agents, Financial Planners, Accountants, Conveyancers, Solicitors, Recruitment Consultants and Business Coaches will also be among the businesswomen who will become part of your network!

Events
WIMBN holds social and educational seminars across five cities each quarter. Topics range from marketing workshops for business owners, to panels featuring inspiring women. There are also fun social events and all of the help you need to inject life back into the work/life balance.

Online Resources
WIMBN offers an invaluable selection of online resources, including articles, interviews and "Ask an Expert" forums. We encourage our membes to network with each other and to promote themselves and their business. A monthly newsletter and weekly bulletin board keeps everyone up to date with the latest news.

Stephanie Kennar - WIMBN Manager

WIMBN's Network Manager is Stephanie Kennar who has been involved in the Finance industry for the last 7 years, both as Relationship Manager for one of the major lenders and also as a broker and consultant setting up a team for a Mortgage Manager.

Her finance background is supported by 15 years with an international company both in Australia and the U.S. Her national positions of Education Manager and Marketing Manager assisted this company's customers (the small to medium sized business) to flourish with a variety of consumer acquisition programs and promotional initiatives.

Stephanie is a passionate advocate in empowering women to achieve personal and financial security. She contributes to, and sits on, advisory boards for various women's networks.
