Knowing more about the WIMBN council

The WIMBN council is being set up to assist the network to grow. The role can be described as part crew, part advisory and part advocate. It would most likely be a dedicated fan of WIMBN who enjoys being a part of creating a better network and promoting it to others. It is a voluntary role. Suitability for the team will be reviewed informally on a quarterly basis.

Who are the council members?

The council members will be a representation of the WIMBN member base. They may be in a variety of employed or self employed positions in the wider financial services. The aim is for approximately 15 ladies on the national team.
The council members should have a desire to build a network for women and enjoy participating in a team that generates ideas to benefit the network.

What activities are the council members involved in?

• Participate in a bi monthly tele-call meeting with Stephanie Kennar and the council team for approximately 45 minutes at a mutually agreed time
• Attend WIMBN events. Assist with logistics such as set up, attendee registration, meet and greet, event pack up and member hospitality
• Look to actively promote WIMBN to associates and contacts, encourage event attendance and web/newsletter subscription
• Provide feedback to WIMBN on suitable events/speakers relevant to your state, potential associates and sponsors for WIMBN to make contact and any other initiatives that would encourage membership
